Autumn Newsletter 2018

Hove Community Acupuncture - AutumnWelcome to our Autumn Newsletter.

It’s that time of year again – the leaves are falling, the days are getting shorter and we are moving into the Metal phase of the year.

According to Chinese philosophy there are five seasons – Autumn, Winter, Spring, Summer and Late Summer and the five correspond to an element. These are Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth.

The Metal element is associated with the Lungs so at this time in particular it is important to look after our immune system as the coughs and colds multiply and spread.

We’ve seen lots of patients suffering with these over the last few weeks and luckily, acupuncture can provide some relief!

Evidence shows that acupuncture stimulates the immune system, which strengthens the body to clear coughs and colds whilst also preventing illness over the winter months.

Acupuncture can treat so much, so feel free to contact us with any specific questions.
