Jonquil W Pinto

Jonquil has been practicing traditional East Asian medicine for over 20 years in London and Hove. She has expertise in acupuncture, tuina massage, cupping, moxa, qigong and dietary therapy.

Jonquil trained in acupuncture at Westminster University and graduated in 2005 with a BSc (Hons) first class in Traditional Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture), she has undertaken further training including a Diploma in Tuina massage, dietary therapy, and specialist training in obstetrics, fertility and pain. She has also practised tai chi and qigong for over twenty years. She is a post-doctoral researcher in psychology at Southampton University in the area of supporting health behaviour change in clinical consultations and a research supervisor at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine. 

Jonquil practices an integrated style of acupuncture treating a wide range of conditions, using traditional holistic East Asian approaches to health informed by current evidence-based research. This approach provides effective, person-centred treatments that support lifelong health 

Jonquil lives in Brighton & Hove with her partner, children and dog, she spends her spare time supporting her kids and other young people at several local sports clubs and volunteers as a coach for Brighton Surf Life Saving Club.
